IMPACTOS DA DISPOSIÇÃO DE RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS POR FREQUENTADORES EM ÁREAS DE CACHOEIRAS: ESTUDO DE CASO DA CACHOEIRA DO RONCADOR, PIRPIRITUBA - PB

Resumo

In the last decades, the tourism has presented a high index of growth in the areas of recreation and leisure due to the hectic life of the daily life. With the high number of tourists and the excess of garbage discarded by these visitors, it is almost certain to say that pollution in tourism areas is inherent to the individual without information on pollution and its impacts.With this problem we can identify the neglect with the environmental problems in the present day, because society increasingly seeks to extract mechanism in nature, always seeking to meet their own needs without worrying about the damage they can cause to the environment.The present research has the objective of analyzing and understanding the environmental impacts of the solid waste generated by the visitors around the Roncador Waterfall in the city of Pirpirituba/PB.. The methodology was based on a qualitative and quantitative approach, bibliographical research, field research, survey research and semi-structured questionnairesWith the results obtained, it is possible to prove the strong presence index of solid residues due to the anthropic actions compromising the waterfall due to the lack of knowledge and environmental education of the tourists.Given these conditions it is necessary to take mitigating measures to minimize the impacts and even solve existing problems in the region, so we seek to highlight some alternatives to improve the structure of the site and solve the problem of pollution, especially in the case of solid waste found on site.
