Proper management of waste oil is a matter of growing concern, particularly in industrial and urban areas. It's production is closely linked to the increasing number of cars and industries worldwide.

      Most lubricant oils contain degrading additives along with other contaminants which makes them highly threatening. In many developing countries, after used these oils are recycled using old and obsolete technologies.

Chari, from the Birla Institute of Management Technology, India, just published in the February issue of Industrial Angles Magazine an article addressing the safe and profitable ways this residue can be used. The magazine, edited in New Delhi, India, is dedicated to the study of the major egineering sectors, focusing ing industrial analysis and innovative technologies.
