Porto Alegre will host the 7th International Forum on Solid Waste (FIRS), from 15 to 17 June. The event will take place at the headquarters of the Public Ministry of Rio Grande do Sul. Experts from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa will exchange experiences on the theme of solid waste.

jornalcomercioThe FIRS is considered today the most important technical and scientific event of Brazil on the theme of solid waste. The participations include academic studies, the vision of companies, and public authorities from different countries on the subject. In this year, the main issue addressed will be what to do with the waste until global warming, since solid waste emits greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane.

The FIRS is promoted by Venturi Institute For environmental studies in partnership with Unisinos - Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos, which is responsible for the academic side of the event.
